Privacy Policy
The short version
Vialed is a local-first iOS app. Your data stays on your device. We don't run servers, we don't have user accounts, we don't collect analytics, we don't track you, and we don't sell anything to anyone. The only data that ever leaves your device is what you choose to share through Apple's own systems (Apple Health and the App Store), and that's covered by Apple's privacy policy, not ours.
If you delete the app, all of your data goes with it. There is no copy of it anywhere else.
What data Vialed handles
When you use Vialed, you may enter:
- Peptides, vials, expiration dates, vendor names, lot numbers, and label photos
- Dose logs, including amounts, peptide used, injection sites, and notes
- Weight measurements
- Side-effect entries and severity ratings
- Daily check-ins (mood, energy, hunger, notes)
- Bloodwork readings (markers, values, units, lab name, reference ranges)
All of the above is stored only on your iPhone, in the app's private storage area, which iOS encrypts at the operating-system level. None of it is transmitted to us or to any server we operate, because we don't operate any.
Apple Health (HealthKit)
If you connect Apple Health from Settings, Vialed will:
- Read your weight (
bodyMass) so your weigh-ins stay in sync with other apps you use. - Write weights you log in Vialed back to Apple Health so your other health apps can see them.
Apple Health data is governed by Apple's HealthKit framework and never passes through Vialed's developers. We do not store, transmit, or share your HealthKit data outside of your device. You can revoke this access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Vialed.
We do not use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, or any purpose other than the in-app weight syncing described above. We do not share HealthKit data with any third party.
Biometric authentication (Face ID / Touch ID)
If you enable the app lock in Settings, Vialed uses Apple's LocalAuthentication framework to verify Face ID or Touch ID before unlocking the app. Your biometric data never leaves your device. Apple performs the match in secure hardware (the Secure Enclave); Vialed only receives a yes/no answer.
Subscriptions and payments
If you choose to subscribe to Vialed Pro, the purchase is processed by:
- Apple's App Store / StoreKit — Apple handles the payment, storage of your billing information, and renewal. Apple's privacy policy applies to that data.
- RevenueCat — we use RevenueCat to manage subscription state across devices. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-generated identifier and your subscription status from Apple. It does not receive your name, email, payment details, or any of the health data described above. RevenueCat's privacy policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Vialed itself never sees your payment information.
What we don't do
- We do not collect analytics or usage telemetry.
- We do not include third-party advertising SDKs.
- We do not track you across apps or websites.
- We do not require an account or sign-in.
- We do not have a server that stores your data.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone.
Children
Vialed is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children. The app is rated for users 18+ in the App Store because peptide and bloodwork tracking is intended for adult users discussing their care with a healthcare provider.
Data retention and deletion
Because all your data lives only on your device, you control retention completely:
- Delete a single entry: swipe to delete inside the app.
- Delete everything: delete the Vialed app from your iPhone. iOS removes the app's storage along with it, including all peptide, dose, weight, side-effect, check-in, and bloodwork records. There is no backup on our end to "also delete" — there's nothing on our end at all.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how Vialed handles data, we'll update this page and the "Effective date" above. Significant changes will also be called out in the app's release notes on the App Store.
